Just more evidence that life finds a way to form and survive in the weirdest and most inhospitable environments. All life on earth is made up of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulfur. With the abundance of other elements on the planet, and the lack of life associated with them, that suggests that life needs these six ingredients to exist.

In Mono Lake, California, not one of the lovliest places on earth for living things, NASA scientists have found a life form totally alien from the rest of the earth. Newly discovered bacteria in Mono Lake have are comprised of arsenic. Arsenic is deadly to living things that we know. That a creature is part arsenic is absolutely mind-boggling.

This is further evidence that life exists elsewhere in the universe and probably in strange, bizarre creations.

This discovery raises an interesting question. How did life different from all other earth-like life forms come to be?

There are three possibilities that come to mind.

1. It mutated from a more traditional life form.
2. It appeared on earth from a meteor, making it a true alien life.
3. It developed on earth spontaneously and separately from the traditional life forms. Thus, an earth genesis creating life would have happened twice.

However, this is weighed, it is intriguing, baffling and wondrous.
