Kansas Residents Think the U.S. Government Captured a UFO

This is how myths, conspiracies, half-truths and rumors start. An experimental aircraft, X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System drone, was carried on a truck through Cowley County, Kansas. Yes, it has a strange shape, but it wasn’t a UFO, which is supposed to be unidentified and flying.

It is more than coincidence that the UFO phenomenon began when civilization reached a level of technological ability that flying aircraft became common. People see a strange object like this and think its alien when it is very terrestrial. Just wait until they start to fly this craft. I bet there is a rash of UFO sighting then.

Kentucky Church Bans Interracial Couples from Membership

Here is something right out of the 1950′s. This lady and her fiancee shouldn’t even bother to ask for a reconsideration of membership. They should just look elsewhere. It is just more proof that many of those who call themselves godly are far from it.

The part I find particularly ironic is that it is the Gulnare Free Will Church. That is free will as in the right to make decisions. In this case, a real bad one.

Even Zookeepers Take a Stand Against Homosexuality

Penguins appear to have a tendency towards homosexuality. That is not unusual in the animal world, but penguins appear to have a proclivity more so than some other animals.

Buddy and Pedro are two male penguins at the Toronto Zoo that prefer each other over other penguins. Unfortunately for Buddy and Pedro, they are African penguins. This type of penguin is endangered, and their genes are wanted for mating with females, not for frolicking around for their own pleasure. Presumably, the two penguins will take on their new heterosexual duty, but is it really doing a service to this species to make the penguins pair up with females instead of one another?

It sounds a lot like anti-gay groups that deprogram homosexuality out of gays and lesbians. Of course, something as deeply ingrained as sexual preference is never deprogrammed. It is only repressed. It would be interesting to see if the same is true for Buddy and Pedro. In the meantime, their love affair must end because humans supposedly know better.

Pat Robertson Warns of Harry Potter

Demons and the occult, warns Pat Robertson of Harry Potter. In this video, Robertson recounts a story of a parent who doesn’t want her daughter to take a test about a study session regarding Harry Potter because of witchcraft and the like.

Robertson warns the parent not to make a big issue about it because people will consider her a “religious fanatic.” While the rest of his talk is mumbo-jumbo religious garbage, Robertson is right about the religious fanatic part, except he should be considered in that equation.

Pakistan Number One when It comes to Sick Internet Porn Searches

I think this means that donkeys, horses and camels are now going to be required to wear burkas. They are just too enticing to Pakistani males.

Florida Pastor: “Let’s have a Federal Registry for Atheists”

We all know how dangerous atheists are. They threaten our children with facts, instead of faith. They are immoral because they don’t believe in the Ten Commandments. Large numbers of them exist in the evil, socialist Scandinavian countries of Norway and Sweden. Most of all, the atheist think. It is threat to the mindless obedience that fundamentalists in Islam and Christianity expect from their followers.

So it should not be a surprise that Michael Stahl of the Living Water Church has a proposal to keep those free-thinkers inline.

Now, many (especially the atheists), may ask “Why do this, what’s the purpose?” Duhhh, Mr. Atheist for the same purpose many States put the names and photos of convicted sex offenders and other ex-felons on the I-Net — to INFORM the public! I mean, in the City of Miramar, Florida, where I live, the population is approx. 109,000. My family and I would sure like to know how many of those 109,000 are ADMITTED atheists! Perhaps we may actually know some. In which case we could begin to witness to them and warn them of the dangers of atheism. Or perhaps they are radical atheists, whose hearts are as hard as Pharaoh’s, in that case, if they are business owners, we would encourage all our Christian friends, as well as the various churches and their congregations NOT to patronize them as we would only be “feeding” Satan.

Yeh, let’s not feed Satan.

I have a better idea for Stahl. Why don’t we require atheists to wear the red “A” that they are fond of pinning to their clothes. While we are at it, let’s bring back the Star of David and make the Jews wear it. Why stop there? How about making Muslims wear a crescent? Then all these allies of Satan be added into a national registry so good god-fearing men like Stahl can starve the devil.

Sometimes I wonder how this country has survived over 200 years as a republic with people like Stahl.

Bill Nye too Complicated for Fox Viewers?

A couple of months ago, I saw Bill Nye at a science symposium. He is the same in person as he is on television, funny, witty, even a bit clownish. One of the comments I remember him making at the symposium was that his 1990s television series proved that a program directed at fourth graders worked well with adults too.

It seems there might be an exception. The Fox host suggested that Nye may have “confused” the viewers.

If the host had not brought up Al Gore and racism during a climate change discussion, things might not have become so confusing.
